Business News: So finally, Ola Electric has launched a new electric scooter and this new model have a range of 100 kilometres on a full charge when used in eco-mode. The EV unicorn Ola Electric has launched a new electric scooter S1 Air, which is available at a good price and for a Diwali discount of Rs. 79,999 till October 24th and the price will increase post-Diwali to Rs. 84,999.
Well, Ola has rebuilt the powertrain and battery pack to build the S1 Air e-scooter. It will have a 2.5KWh battery pack and a 4.5KW hub motor, which weighs the scooter at 99kgs. S1 Air is said to deliver a top speed of 85km/hr, and start from 0-40 in just 4.3 seconds, reportedly. While it also comes with an IDC range of 100km in Eco mode.
Hence, this price is only available to customers who reserve the scooter at Rs. 999 before Diwali, meanwhile till 24th October. However, the purchase window for the Ola S1 Air will open in February, and deliveries are scheduled to start in early April 2023. Previously, Ola has battled consumer backlash over late deliveries, low scooter range, and EV fire-related incidents.

During the launch, CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said that their objective was not to build a premium scooter or to build only a scooter. Their main objective has been to transform the Indian mobility landscape to electric and make the country a global leader in electrification.
Furthermore, he also said that the company is working on an electric motorcycle which might be announced by next year and the company is also aiming to build its electric car which was announced earlier this year. in the year August 2024, Ola’s four-wheeler will be launched and it is expected to go from 0-100kmph within just 4 seconds and a range of more than 500km/charge.
Additionally, the company has already set up 50 hypercharger points and 50 offline touch points across the country. Although Ola aims to expand the experience centres network to 200 by March 2023. Also, they will be launching new accessories and merchandise on the app and website starting today.
