Technology News: The newly launched Apple Watch Ultra has been tested by a YouTuber who dropped it on a floor of 4 feet height, subjected it to a jar of nails, and repeatedly shattered it with a hammer to see how stable the sapphire crystal protecting the display is. According to MacRumors, the TEchRax, a popular YouTube channel for testing the durability of products, so first they tested the Apple watch Ultra by dropping it from 4 feet on the floor. The Apple Watch Ultra left hardly any marks on it apart from minor dents on the titanium casing.

The Apple Watch Ultra was put in a jar of nails and was once again left with no visible marks. TEchRax also tested the stability of the Apple watch ultra’s sapphire crystal display cover by repeatedly hitting it with a hammer. In this test, the watch stands up to repeated hits with the hammer until it finally cracked.
While the Apple watch Ultra’s display did not initially take damage but the watch did fail to turn on after repeated the hits. The watch faces the failure power on, which could indicate that while the sapphire did not have broken the first time, but some internal components may have been damaged. Apple claims that the Apple Watch Ultra is its most rugged, extreme, and durable Apple watch yet, aiming to compete directly with Garmin.
